A superb mint cased Boy Scout association Silver Cross for Gallantry

Troop Leader Harrison of the 22nd Llanrwst scout troop was awarded the Silver Cross for gallantry by Lord Baden-Powell of Gillwell (The world Chief Scout) for his gallantry in saving a lad who was in difficulties whilst bathing in the river Conway at Llanrwst, Troop leader Harrison leapt in to the river fully clothed & rescued the lad from drowning by bringing him to the bank.
The recipient went on to be a well respected local council officer & prominent member of the local Royal British Legion for many years.
EF/MINT & housed in the original box of issue, Maker marked by Collins & fully hallmarked. Complete with a copy newspaper cutting about the rescue & the award of the silver cross,
