WW1 1914 Star trio with original August to November 1914 Clasp To-
2-LIEUT/CAPT.N.PRYNN.D.C.L.I
Norman Prynn from Plymouth first arrived in France 25-10-1914 attached to the 1st Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He was wounded at the 1st battle of Ypres & resigned his commission 17-2-1915. He went on to attend the R.M.C Sandhurst and took a regular commission in the Hampshire Regiment 15-6-1915. He was again wounded in August 1916 & sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 28-3-1918 serving with the 1st battalion. He is commemorated on the Arras memorial & was 23 years of age at the time of his death. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Mr & Mrs F.Prynn of Woodbine, Seymour Road, Plymouth.
