Neil McGregor Campbell was born in Aberfeldy & enlisted in Perth. He first landed in France 13-8-1914 and the award of his August to November clasp is confirmed on his M.I.C. He sadly died of wounds in the Persian Gulf 7-1-1916 serving with the 2nd battalion & is buried in Amara war cemetery. He was 21 years of age at the time of his death & the CWGC state that he was the late son of Ann Kerr (Formerly Campbell) of 33 Kenmore street, Aberfeldy, Perthshire.
