Leonard W Henry lived at 246 Bellhouse Road, Shiregreen, Sheffield and enlisted in to the 2nd battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers 9-10-1911. He first landed in France 16-1-1915 & was reported as a prisoner of war 18-5-1915 as was held at Munster. He was transferred to a camp on Holland in March 1918 & was repatriated 18-11-1918. He was transferred to the class B army reserve 13-3-1919 and issued with silver war badge B-271763.
NEF & Complete with the recipients original Sheffield returned P.O.W medal along with a silver regimental sports medal named to the recipient & dated 1913. Along with two small bits of shrapnel that were allegedly removed from the recipients posterior?.
The catch from the reverse of the recipients silver war badge is broken but the pin is still intact.
