WW1 & WW2 FAMILY GROUP, LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS & FIFE HOME GUARD, WITH ORIGINAL BOXES & DOCUMENTS

A very nice family group to a father & son from Fife
1) Mint boxed WW1 Pair with the recipients original silver war badge & mint boxed WW2 Defence Medal

Dixon More Senior enlisted in to the Lancashire Fusiliers 24-1-1917 and went on to transfer to the Labour corps with service number 554807. He was discharged with a silver war badge due to sickness 11-5-1919 but had previously been wounded in France and claimed a war pension due to gun shot wounds to his right hand. He was a farm laborer from St Andrews Fife and served with the local home guard unit. His medals for service in WW1 were not issued to him until 1937 due to a clerical issue between his original regiment & the Labour corps.
2) Mint boxed WW2 Defence medal with Home Guard service certificate to Dixon More Junior
The recipient served with the some Home Guard unit in Fife as his father from 12-7-1941 through to 31-12-1944.
Both of the WW2 Defence medals are addressed to Dixon More Senior & Dixon More Junior at 29 Lamond Drive, St Andrews, Fife.
