David.Inglis from Lanark first served overseas with the 16th service battalion of the Highland Light Infantry / 2nd Glasgow pals. He was twice wounded in France and this was recorded on the war office casualty lists dated 3-1-1917 & 2-11-1917. He died in 1921 due to the effects of his wounds and his widow claimed a war pension.
