David Taylor from Leith first landed in France 22-6-1915 serving with the 1st battalion & went on to serve with both the 5th & 7th battalions before finally transferring to the 1/6th battalion of the Black Watch with service number S-41924. He was twice wounded in France and this was recorded in the war office casualty lists dated 12-10-1915 & 30-8-1916.
