William Berkely Rowett was born 16-1-1909 and was educated at Charterhouse 1927-1929. He was commissioned in to the Royal Corps of Signals in 1930 & embarked for India the following year. He returned to the UK in 1937 & was selected for exchange duties in Canada. He was appointed G.S.O signals to the war office in 1940 & remained in the UK until landing in Normandy 8-6-1944. He was dispatched to Burma in April 1945. He was appointed Brigadier in 1959 & retired in 1962. He then went on to study at Cambridge & became a church of England Vicar. He died 15-1-1988 age 89.
Lightly polished GVF or better & mounted as worn. Complete with copy images of the recipient in uniform wearing his medals. Along with basic research details including London gazette details.
