Charles Joseph Donovan from London enlisted in to the Royal Navy in June 1916 and went on to serve with the R.N.A.S before becoming a member of the R.A.F on its formation in 1918. He was wounded in the head in France 27-6-1917 and spent a day in hospital at Dunkirk whilst serving at aircraft depot number one wing & seaplane base. He left the service in 1919 and went on to enlist on to the R.A.S.C and served with the regiment in Mesopotamia / Iraq. He was discharged under kings regulations 392 in July 1921 and on the 1939 register can be found living in Luton.
GVF/NEF & Mounted as worn. Complete with copy RN & RAF service papers. Along with medal roll details and other basic research.
