The recipient first landed in France 15-8-1914 serving with the 2nd Dragoon Guards / Queens Bays 15-8-1914. He went on to be awarded the Military Medal (MM) for services in France in the London gazette 23-4-1918 & this stated that he was a resident of Hounslow. He went on to be awarded his LS&GC whilst serving with the corps of military police.
