George Carnochan was a resident of Dumfries prior to emigrating to Canada 6 years prior to the outbreak of war. He was killed in action 1-10-1918 serving with the 43rd battalion of the Canadian infantry & is buried in the small British cemetery at Ramillies. His father also served in the great war. Along with his two brothers. Sadly one of his brothers was killed in action in 1917.
NEF/GVF & Complete with CWGC details. Along with a copy newspaper cutting about the recipients death from his local paper in Dumfries.
