George Henry Wylie from Montrose was born 18-12-1883 & was commissioned in to the R.N.R in 1913. He served in the Dardanelles where he was slightly wounded 25-3-1915 & went on to command the destroyer Etterick. He was demobilized in 1919 & placed on the retired list in 1928. In 1948 he was running a small poultry farm in Montrose & he passed away 31-1-1964 aged 80.
