Joseph Thomas Greenwood enlisted at sun street whilst living in Fulham. He first arrived in France 27-1-1917 serving with the 2/7th battalion of the London regiment & was issued with the new six figure TF service number 351266. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 23-5-1917 & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Arras memorial. He was 28 years of age at the time of his death & is recorded by the CWGC as the late husband of Beatrice E Munson (Formerly Greenwood) of 9 Welford Terrace, Dawes road, Fulham, London.
This group was purchased direct from the family last week. However the plaque has been issued in error & gives the recipients first name as John as opposed to Joseph?.
