John Telfer first landed in theatre of war 2B The Balkans / Gallipoli 11-10-1915 serving with the Lanarkshire Yeomanry with service number 418. He went on to serve with the Scottish Rifles with service number 46190 and returned to the Lanarkshire Yeomanry at the wars end with service number 309276. He was awarded his territorial efficiency medal in 1924.
