The bronze medal is named on the rim SJT.10D.JAMES.SNEDDON & the reverse is engraved with the issue date of 3-11-1939.
The silver medal is named & dated on the reverse to SJT.10D.J.SNEDDON & is dated 3-11-1944.
The recipient must also have qualified for a Defence medal.
