William Murray from Stirling enlisted in to the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders in March 1894 age 22 & first landed in South Africa with the 1st battalion 29-10-99 & was wounded at the battle of Modder River 28-11-1899. He returned to the UK 17-12-1899 & was finally discharged 10-8-1901.
