Wilfred Bell was born in Durham & enlisted in Newcastle whilst living in Consett, County Durham. He first landed in France 3-10-1915 serving with the 2nd battalion of the Durham Light Infantry & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 8-7-1916 & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial at Ypres.
