Herbert Seymour Benjamin was a Jewish recipient from London & is listed in the British Jewery book of honour. He was educated at Clifton college & first landed overseas in 1915 serving with the 1/8th battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 9-10-1917 age 26 & is buried in Poelcapelle British cemetery. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Mr & Mrs Harry.S.Benjamin of 15 Pembridge Crescent, London W11.
