The Crimea medal is engraved in the correct period style & the Turkish Crimea medal is unnamed as issued. The pair are mounted as worn from original silver ribbon buckles & are accompanied by the recipients pair of superb miniature medals.
William Henry Perry was commissioned Ensign 20-10-1848, Lieutenant 2-1-1852 & Captain 19-1-1855. He transferred to the 37th regiment in 1862 & died at Teignmouth 17-10-1924. At the time of his death the local paper stated that he was the last surviving officer of the 33rd regiment that had been present at the Duke of Wellington's funeral in 1852. He was 93 years of age at the time of his death & was formerly a resident of Sydenham.
