Samuel.J.Logan from Belfast was awarded the Immediate Meritorious service medal for services in France & Flanders in the London gazette 16-10-1918. This was one of 59 awards of the immediate M.S.M for services in France & Flanders in WW1. The 36th Garrison Guard battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers landed in France in May of 1918 & the recipients M.S.M is the only one to the regiment to be published in this issue of the gazette.
