Thomas Howell Lovesay was born in London 14-9-76 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy as a boy in 1894. He served on land with the Naval brigade from HMS Powerful during the defence of Ladysmith & was of 275 recipients of the Defence of Ladysmith clasp to the ship. He continued to serve throughout WW1 & was onboard HMS St George 1915-1916 & went on to be discharged to pension at the wars end.
