James Baxter from Patricroft, Lancs first landed in France 24-9-1915. He was awarded the Military Medal in the London gazette 13-9-1918 for his services in France with X trench mortar battery of the Royal Field Artillery. He returned home at the wars end and lived at 7 Pym Street, Patricroft, Salford, Lancashire.
