Louis Harris from Leeds landed in France 12-5-1915 serving with the Royal Field Artillery. He was admitted to hospital In France 1-9-1918 & discharged at the wars end. He was a member of the Jewish faith & is listed in the British Jewery book of honour 1914-1918. He was awarded the Civil M.B.E in the London gazette 1-1-1968 for his services to the Jewish community in Leeds. This was gazetted in his full name ISSAC LEWIS HARRIS.
