WW1 1914-15 Trio

Alfred.D.Watson enlisted in the the 9th battalion of the Black Watch / Royal Highlanders 8-7-1915 & first landed in France 20-10-1915. He was discharged with a silver war badge 16-2-1916 and was considered to be permanently unfit for war service. He died 3-12-1917 & is buried in Thornaby on Tees cemetery. He was 31 years of age at the time of his death & the family headstone in Thornaby cemetery states that he died of disease contracted in France.
