George Weaver served on the North West Frontier of India in 1908 with the 1st battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers & first arrived in France with the same battalion 27-8-1914. He was recorded as having been wounded three times, 17-11-14, 30-12-14 & 5-12-1916. He is then recorded as having deserted 16--8-1919. He is also entitled to the 1914 star trio. However the medal rolls state that this was not issued due to his desertion.
