Ernest William Robinson was both born, enlisted & lived in Birmingham. He first served overseas with the 4th battalion of the Worcester Regiment & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 16-8-1917. He was only 20 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in La Laiterie military cemetery. The C.W.G.C state that he was the late son of Thomas & Rebecca Robinson of back 134 Sherlock Street, Birmingham.
