Alfred Ernest Hay served with the 13th Hussars during the Boer war & with the 102nd Canadian infantry during WW1. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 19-10-1916 age 36. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Vimy memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Annie & John Hay & that he served with the 13th Hussars during the South African campaign.
GVF or better with a couple of dark spots of verdigris on the memorial plaque. Complete with medal roll details & CWGC details.
