Cyril John Day was commissioned in to the Border Regiment in August 1923 & after initially serving with the 2nd battalion in Malta, Egypt & China he transferred to the 1st battalion to serve on the North West Frontier of India 1930-31. He transferred to the R.A.P.C in 1939 & spent his war in India & the UK. He was command paymaster in Malaya 1954-1957 & retired in 1962. He passed away 13-10-1982.
