Charles.G.H.Gold first landed in France 5-10-1914 and is entitled to the 1914 star trio with August to November 1914 clasp. He was awarded the immediate M.S.M for services in Italy in the London gazette 3-6-1918. The London gazette states that he was a resident of Cheapside E.C.
The M.S.M is one of only ten such awards to the regiment for service during the Italian campaign.
