Albert Wilkinson died of wounds serving with the 9th battalion of the Tank corps 29-9-1918 and was formerly a member of the East Lancashire Regiment with service number 2533. Soldiers died in the great war states that he enlisted in Manchester & the C.W.G.C state that he is buried at Bellicourt British cemetery on the Aisne in France. He was 29 years of age at the time of his death and is recorded by the C.W.G.C as the late son of Roger & Johanna Wilkinson of 186 Downham Street, Blackburn, lancs.
