Henry Victor Hughes was born in Wootten, Gloucestershire 19-4-1910 & enlisted in to the Royal Artillery in Bristol in 1926 as a 16 year old boy. He served in the middle east during WW2 & was awarded his LS&GC in army order 27 of 1947. His M.S.M followed in 1951 when the king cleared the M.S.M list & issued to medal to all men on the list who were awaiting the award of the annuity M.S.M.
The WW2 stars both have large patches of verdigris which would probably sympathetically clean off? but at the moment they are F/VF the rest of the group is GVF / NEF & the whole group is mounted as worn.
