Thomas William Walton Brown from Ratcliffe Road, Haydon Bridge, Northumberland was 27 years of age when he enlisted in to the Royal Engineers in February 1915. He first landed in France 1-9-1915 serving with the 129th Field Company. He was awarded the MM for services in France in the London gazette 11-5-1917 & was discharged to the class Z army reserve at the wars end.
