John Lattimer from Harding Leap, Thirlwall, Northumberland originally enlisted in to the 16th service battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers / Newcastle Commercials. He went on to serve with the 24th & 24/27th battalions / Tyneside Irish & finished his war serving with both the 14th & 12/13th battalions. Before he was discharged to the class Z army reserve at the wars end.
