Edward Hargreaves first landed in France 9-11-1914 serving with the 2nd battalion of the Manchester Regiment. He later transferred to the 12th service battalion of the same regiment & was awarded the Belgian Croix-De-Guerre for services in France & Flanders in the London gazette 12-7-1918 which stated that he was a resident of Blackburn, Lancs.
GVF or better & complete with MIC & London gazette details. Along with a photocopy letter to the recipients son dated 1950 when he requested more information about his fathers award. Sadly not much information was offered other than it was an award for gallantry in Belgian soil.
