David.L.Rowlands was awarded the MM for services in France in the London gazette 16-9-1918 & this stated that he had enlisted & resided in Sunderland.
Complete with a original newspaper cutting that states the recipient was a former member of the Boys Brigade and that his MM was awarded for services with the battalion on the night of 16/17th April 1918 & goes on to give a lengthy account of the recipients actions on that day. It also states that he was originally from Doncaster.
