James Herd first landed in France 12-10-1914 & is entitled to the August to November 1914 clasp for the ribbon of his 1914 star. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 9-11-1914 just 28 days after landing in France. He was both born & enlisted in Forfar & is buried in Browns road military cemetery at Festubert.
NEF & Complete with MIC & medal roll details along with other basic research details. Sadly the August to November 1914 clasp is missing from the ribbon of the recipients 1914 star. However his entitlement is confirmed both on the recipients MIC & the medal roll.
