James Hugh St Clair Drynan was commissioned in to the A.S.C but attached to the 5th Scottish Rifles. He first landed in France 26-4-1918 & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 8-5-1918 age 25. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial & recorded by the C.W.G.C as the late son of Jane.S.Drynan of The Yett, Colmonell, Ayrshire.
