Arthur Edward Wilson first landed in France 15-7-1915 serving as serjeant with the R.A.M.C.He was commissioned in to the 2nd battalion of the Border Regiment 31-7-1917 & after a short spell of service with the 22nd service battalion of the Manchester Regiment he continued to spend the rest of his military service with the border regiment. He won two silver booking medals as a bantam weight. One from the Aldershot athletic association whilst an officer cadet & the other in May 1919 from the Imperial services boxing association whilst he was a Lieutenant with the 2nd Border Regiment (Both of the sports medals are named on the reverse to the recipient).
NEF & Complete with the recipients original commission scroll dated 1917, His release letter dated 1945, M.I.C details & two photographs of him in uniform at the end of WW2. He is wearing a WW2 M.I.D oakleaf on the ribbon of his WW2 War medal in both photographs but no trace can be found of him having received the M.I.D.
